An exceptional manor house situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Originally owned by an aristocratic family in the 15th century and then bought by a wealthy clergyman, the manoir later became a bastion for the French resistance. In more recent years Manoir Le Cosquer was used by French TV for the political documentary 'L'Affair Seznec'.
Rich in history it was carefully restored in 2004 using natural quality materials. The East wing accommodation is for B&B guests and divided over 3 floors.
Suberb grounds of some 7 acres with lots of mature oak and chestnut trees, varied flora and fauna and a fenced lake with geese and ducks. Lots of room to relax for both adults and children .
On the ground floor spread over the East and West wings there are four reception rooms - the reading room and grand lounge with its impressive granite fireplace are found in the East Wing. On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms both en-suite and and on the second floor there is a large suite that can sleep up to five people. There are also family rooms available on request. The lounge has a good library and there is access to landscaped gardens, grounds and lake with lots of interesting flora and fauna.
Dinner, by reservation, is served in the grand dining room with its easy relaxed atmosphere, open fireplace and grand piano.
The West wing of the Manoir, boasts an original Louis XIV staircase, a super beamed farmhouse kitchen, the dining room and additional bedrooms which are available to guests when renting the whole manoir - see manoir rental. During periods of manoir rental normal B&B is unavailable.
Fitness & Games room
A fitness area offers guests a great facility which includes a running track, exercise bikes, steps machine, rower, situps bench and mats, and a 'ski training' machine
Indoor table tennis table, table football and darts are also available plus lots of games & toys for children of all ages.

These facilities are available for your enjoyment during the warmer months.
SWIMMING POOL
For the summer months an above the ground swimming pool is available.
The owners speak several languages. Near by there are lots of interesting places to visit and within 20 minutes you can access some of the best beaches in France. See 'Pommerit Le Vicomte' on the Google map below and how close to the coast it is yet in idyllic countryside.
